William Eugene Bone

William Eugene Bone, 89, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born June 7, 1928 in Nash County to the late William and Betty Winstead Bone. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Opel Batts Bone; brothers, Roy and Atlas; sisters, Ruth, Maggie and Myrtle.

He leaves to cherish his daughter, Debbie Woolard and husband James; sister-in-law, Essie Ellis and husband Phil; granddaughter, Elizabeth Landen and fiancé Daniel Overton; nephew, Danny Ellis and special friend, Dora Hathaway.

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11:30AM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
