William "Bill" "Bebe" Bryan Whitley

William “Bill” “Bebe” Whitley, 86, died Thursday, March 12, 2020. Bill was born on January 19, 1934 in Nash County, the son of the late Jim Robert Whitley and Sidney Emma Joyner Whitley. He was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Bill was an Army Veteran serving from 1953 to 1955 in the 6th Infantry in the Korean Conflict in Berlin Germany. He retired in 1999 from Phillip Fibers with 15 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evie Harper Whitley; sons, Alvin “Preacher” Whitley (Darlene) of Nashville; William “Runt” “Bill” Whitley, Jr. (Judy); Robert Whitley (Julia); daughter, Charlene W. Wynne (Edward) all Rocky Mount, grandson, Bryan Whitley of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Billie Jo Grabill (Rob) of Rocky Mount;
great grandchildren, Emma, Robby, and Ben Grabill and Payton Whitley of Little Washington; sister, Annie W. Roberson; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to all the hospice nurses and staff for all their love and care they showed Bill and his family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home & Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856.

Services will be private.
