Wanda Starr Braswell

Wanda Starr Langston Braswell, 51, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018. She was born in Nash County on Feb. 14, 1966. Wanda loved her family, birds and her fur baby, Sasha. She also loved writing poetry.
She was preceded in death by her daddy, Sam McCafferty; uncle, Mark Valentine and a cousin, Sterling Carroll.
Wanda is survived by her mother, Brenda Barwick; fiancé, Scott Cockrell; best friend and sister, Samantha McCafferty Taylor (Fred); her niece, Danielle Logan, who acts just like her; uncle, Craig Valentine (Joyce) and an
aunt, Sheila Carroll.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
