Sidney Emma Joyner Whitley

MRS. SIDNEY E. WHITLEY NASHVILLE Mrs. Sidney Emma Whitlev. 59. died Thursday morning in a Rocky Mount Hospital after an illness of several months. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Taylor of Nash County. Surviving are her husband, Jim Robert Whitley of Nashville; four daughters, Mrs. Phillip Richardson of Nashville, Route 3, Mrs. Roy Baines of Bailey. Route 1. Mrs. Marshall Roberson of Rocky Mount, and Miss Fannie Jane Whitley of the home; two sons, William Bryan and Jim Oliver, both of the home; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the Gold Valley Church of God in charge of the Rev. Oscar Jones. Burial will follow in the church cemetery; The body will remain at the Nashville Funeral Home until one o’clock at which time it will be taken to the church.
