ROCKY MOUNT – Ronnie Ray Medlin, age 73, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025.  Born in Franklin County, NC on January 11, 1952, he was the son of the late John Wesley Medlin and Veora Murray Medlin.

Ronnie loved woodworking and working on his 2010 mustang, but what he really enjoyed was music. Ronnie loved to play his bass guitar. He played in several gospel groups such as Legacy, Medlin Family, and East Coast Gospel Singers. He was the Minister of Music at Living Faith Fellowship, as well as several other churches. Ronnie loved his family and was a true family man. He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Ronnie touched the lives of so many people and will always be remembered with love and kindness.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Carol Medlin; sons, Rodney Medlin (Joanie), and Stacy Medlin (Crystal); step sons, Ben Pridgen (Anna), and Matthew Antel; step daughters, Sarah Antel, and Susan Reason (Will), and Michelle Narron; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 3:30 PM at Living Faith Fellowship, 1090 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803 with Pastor Ramon Mizell officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.  A visitation will be held from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM prior to the service in the sanctuary of Living Faith Fellowship.
