Richard Moye White

Richard Moye White Sr. died Nov. 11, 2000 at Nash General Hospital. He was born on Aug. 29, 1927, in Martin County to the late Lee Roy and Thelma Manning White. He was a general contractor and a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. White was also a member of the VFW Post 2057.
He is survived by his wife, Irene White, of the home; three daughters, Mary White Lancaster, and her husband, Mike, of Rocky Mount, Michelle White Davis and her husband, Frank, of Red Oak, and Martha Malinda White, of Stockbridge, Ga.; four sons, Richard Moye White, Jr., of Greenville, Charles Michael White and his wife, Mary, of Nashville, Marshall Lee White and his wife, Donna, of Rocky Mount, and Mitchell Lyden White, and his wife, Virginia, of Huntersville; two brothers, William Roy White, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Robert Allen White of Spring Valley, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
