Mary C. Bass

Mary “Carolyn” Holmes Bass, 77, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018. She was born October 5, 1940 in Nash County to the late John Henry and Mary Roberson Holmes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents Carolyn was preceded in death by a son, James Frank Ezzell, Jr. and sister, Teresa Whitehead.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert Bass; four daughters, Meta Evelyn Bohemier and husband Marc, Teresa Ann Ezzell, Dorothy Kay Ezzell and Mary Lynn Hamm and fiancé Waylon Hines; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
