Mr. Marvin Haywood Baker

Marvin Haywood Baker, 67, passed away June 28, 2026. He was born April 17, 1959 to the late John and Ruby Baker. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Bonnie B. Batchelor and Ruby B. Young. He is the owner of Haywood’s Plumbing & Maintenance Inc. for 40 years. He loved his family, traveling, especially to the mountains and the beach. Marvin also loved cars and recreational activities with his family.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Baker; sons Benjamin, Bryce and Jonathan Baker; daughter Melissa B. Pullen (Brian); grandchildren Haley, Conner and Ayden Baker, James and Landon Pullen, Briley Baker; his emotional support companion Bella; sisters Faye B. Whitley (Hilton), Paulette B. Brown (Bob); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm-7:30pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
