Lettie Pearl Pridgen

Lettie Pearl Pridgen Pridgen, 80, died Friday, July 18, 2003. Born in Nash County, May 10, 1923, daughter of the late Ulysses S. “Bud” and William Ann Pittman Pridgen.
She was preceded in death by a brother, J.D. Pridgen.
Mrs. Pridgen was a member of Falls of the Tar River Particular Baptist Church.
Survivors are husband, Jesse Clyde Pridgen of the home; son, William “Bill” Clyde Pridgen and wife, Becky of Rocky Mount; sister, Dorothy Perry of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Cynthia Wells and husband, Richard, William “Bill” Clyde Pridgen II and wife, Robin, Christopher Charles Pridgen and wife, Sue, all of Rocky Mount; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 1912 Sunset Ave. and other times at the home of the niece, Barbara Barnes, 1203 Aycock Street, Rocky Mount.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, with Elder D.B. Stokes and Elder Autrey Pridgen officiating.
