Jesse Marvin Howell

ROCKY MOUNT – Jesse Marvin Howell, age 89, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Born in Nash County, NC on August 31, 1926, he was the son of the late Jesse Ward Howell and Edna Howell.

Marvin served in the Army Air Force during WWII as Private First Class. After the war ended he was elected to sit in on the Hurenberg Trials.

Marvin leaves behind to cherish his memory, one brother, Grady Ward Howell of Rocky Mount; three sons, Steven Howell (Deborah) of Rocky Mount; Stanley Howell (Julie) of Erwin; Philip Howell (Karol) of Pamlico County; eight grand-children; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
