Evie Dianne Harper Whitley

Evie Dianne Harper Whitley, 80, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021. She was born on June 30, 1941 in Edgecombe County, the daughter of late Alvin Ennis Harper and Iva Mae Blanford Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Whitley.

Evie is survived by: sons, Alvin Whitley (Darlene) of Nashville; William “Bill” Whitley, Jr. (Judy); Robert Whitley (Julia); daughter, Charlene W. Wynne (Edward) all of Rocky Mount, grandson, Bryan Whitley of Nashville; granddaughter, Billie Jo Grabill (Rob) of Rocky Mount; great grandchildren, Emma, Robby, and Ben Grabill and Payton Whitley of Little Washington; sister, Betsy Jo Bellmore (Gene)of Pinnacle, NC; cousins, Linda Harrell (Clifford) and Sandra Ezzelle (L. J.) of Burgaw, NC.

A special thank you to Elaine Johnson, Wilhemina Robinson and Hospice for all the love and care they showed Evie and her family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home & Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856.

A graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Jerome Mozingo and Rev. V. G. Robertson officiating.
