Edward Howard Barwick Jr.

Edward Howard Barwick, Jr., age 65, went home to the Father on February 28, 2009 at his home in Rocky Mount. He was born on December 19, 1943 in Wayne County, NC. He is the son of the late Howard Barwick, Sr, and Mildred Mozingo Barwick. He is survived by his wife Brenda Mc-Cafferty Barwick. Also surviving are his children Susan Quincy, Elton Barwick and Steven Barwick, his loving step-children Samantha Hopkins and Wanda Braswell, his sister Jeanie Whitehead of Sanford, North Carolina and his brother Larry Barwick of Greenville, North Carolina. He was also blessed with 8 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife Doris Patterson Barwick.
He attended Rocky Mount Sr. High School. He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Enterprise, a Rocky Mount Fireman and a self-employed painter. As a youth he was a member of The Salvation Army. He attended Fellowship Church of Nashville, NC. There he grew spiritually thru his faith that enabled him to endure and fight his battle with cancer.
The family will receive friends Monday March 2, 2009 from 7-9 pm at Johnson Funeral and Cremations 661 English Road, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Other times at the home 1189 Green Pasture Road, Rocky Mount, NC. Graveside services will be held Tuesday March 3, 2009 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park at 3 p.m.
