Mr. Dennis A Strickland

Dennis Allen Strickland, age 79, passed away Monday evening, December 16, 2024 at Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, NC. He was born July 14, 1945 in Wayne County to Henry and Estelle Strickland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Henry Strickland and grandchildren, Joshua and Madison Boykin.

He leaves a lifetime of treasured memories for his beloved wife of fifty-six years, Leigh Peele Strickland; children, Terri Medford (Garry), Karen Silveri (Anthony), Katie Boykin (David), and Martin Strickland (Jessica); sister, Virginia Ezzell; grandchildren, Timmy Addington, Kimberli Pino (Jeffrey), Tiffany Addington, Anthony Silveri (Julie), William Medford, Christopher Boykin, Kayla Strickland, Nathan Strickland, and Annabelle Boykin; step-grandchildren, Alyssa Hasselberg (Peter), Kristen Jochimsen (Jake), Cameron Medford (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Dennis Addington, Adalyne Silveri, and Julian Pino; step-great-grandchildren, Juniper and Penelope Hasselberg, and Cody and Scarlet Medford; along with many family friends and other extended relatives.

Please join family and friends for a Service of Remembrance at 10:30 am, Friday, December 20, 2024 at Arlington Baptist Church.  Burial with Military Honors will follow ar Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 19, also at Arlington Baptist Church, and other times at the home.
