MR. Bobby Gardner Smith

Bobby Gardner Smith, 84, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024. He was born June 6, 1940 in Halifax County to the late Herman and Mae Bell Gardner Smith. He loved his family, fishing, riding horses, campers on missions, umpiring, and East Carolina Marching Pirates. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Shelia Milan.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Betty Smith; daughters, Lynn Hagwood (Bill), Angela Winstead (Clarence), Sharon Owenby (Chris), and Sandy Rose; two sons, Bryan Rose (Shelia) and Dennis Rose (Cathy); special friend, Carleen Goodwin; grandchildren, Ivey Jean, Mallory, Cody, Dillon, Tanner, Josh, Lexi, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Gwen.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev. Tony Russ officiating at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
