Mrs. Annie Mae Cockrell

BAILEY – Annie Mae Cockrell, age 78, passed away Tuesday October 20, 2026. Annie Mae was born August 12, 1948 in Nash County, NC to the late Vannie Earl Morgan and Ethel Taylor Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Donnie H. Cockrell; two sisters; and four brothers.

Annie Mae leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Cheryl Cockrell of Bailey; grandchildren, Cameron White, Emma White, and Chloe White; her sisters, Barbara Boykin and husband, Charles, and Brenda Page and husband, Robbie; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the parlor of Shingleton Funeral Home, 2413 Nash Street NW, Wilson, NC 27896.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Lassiter officiating. Interment to follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home for end of life expenses.
