Albert was born in the White Oak Community of Nash County, NC on July 3, 1942. Albert is the son of the late Eddie Carvie Boone and Sadie Elizabeth Ward Boone. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Shearon and Doris Brown (Frank), and sister-in-law Charlotte Browning (Bob).

Albert is survived by his wife of 57 years, love of his life for eternity, Patricia Jane Bulluck Boone; his son, Albert “Bert” Edward Boone, Jr. (Karen Fitzhenry Boone ); his daughter Virginia “Ginger” Elizabeth Boone; his grandchildren, Patrick Fitzhenry Boone, Bridget Marie Boone, Hunter Elizabeth Andrews, and Joshua Braxton Andrews, and adopted granddaughter Tabitha Wilcox; his brother, Phillip Boone (Carol), his sisters-in-law Sylvia Fisher (John), Linda Zelesnick (Phil-deceased), brothers-in-law Joe Shearon and Jimmy Bulluck (Beverly). Albert is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends which he held dearly in his heart.

He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from Wesleyan College in 2015 and the Alumni Family Award was presented to the Boone Family-brothers Albert Boone ’64 and Phillip Boone ’70, their wives, Pat and Carol, and their family.

Albert’s career in real estate was one of his many lifetime achievements. He served the people of Rocky Mount and the surrounding area for 40+ years, including his partnership with Chancey Hill at Boone, Hill, Allen, and Ricks Real Estate. His service was his witness.

He attended Sunset Avenue Baptist Church, (formally Johnson Tabernacle Baptist Church) where he served as a Deacon and/or Chairman of the Deacons, Sunday School Teacher, Softball Player, Red Cross Advocate, and a Volunteer for many programs and activities throughout his 62 years as a member. He loved his church and worshipping his God with them.

Albert was a great husband and provider for his family. He loved taking trips to the beach with his family and relaxing on any golf course he could get to. He also loved watching his Wake Forest Deacons play basketball. He was a man who loved life, loved people, loved his job, loved his family, and last, but not least, loved His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…Crucified and Resurrected.
