Mr. Carson Norwood Sutton, Sr., age 84, transitioned on June 17, 2026 at Nash UNC Health Care.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026 at New Morning Star Church of Christ, 225 S. Glendale Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.

Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Matthews Family Mortuary.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made In Memory of Carson Sutton, Sr. to his alma

mater Fayetteville State University.
