Willie Jack Purvis

Willie Jack Purvis, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 1991.
He was born in Aplin, Ga., Jan 18, 1918, son of the late T.J. and Rosa Lee Hayes Purvis. He was a retired truck driver with Mitchell Engineering.
Surviving: Wife, Mable Sherrod Eason Purvis; sons, Ray Eason, Mike Eason and Bert Eason, all of Rocky Mount, Dennis Eason of Nashville; daughters, Jean Stallings of Lincolnton, Gloria Bulluck of Rocky Mount, Charlene Pernell of Rocky Mount; 13 grandchildren; sister, Eltha Charlson of Arcadia, Fla.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home, Rocky Mount. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, other times at the home, 516 Northern Hills Drive, Rocky Mount.
