Walter Leon Shearin

Walter Leon Shearin, 93, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022. He was born August 1, 1928 in Beaufort County to the late Walter Daniels and Ada Brantley Shearin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Wesley Shearin; daughter, Kim Shearin; and sisters, Dottie Cartee, Shirley Boyce, Peggy Groce, and Pasty Bean.

He is survived by his sons, Todd Shearin and Scott Shearin (Angela); brother, Adrian Langley; sister, Georgia Sullivan; grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Hannah, Lee, and Cheyene Shearin, Landis, Logan, and Jordan Smith; 7 great grandchildren; and special friends, Mary Harper, Bobby Reams, and Linda Ruffin.

A visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 12:30 pm with the service following at 2 pm at Leon’s Barn 3438 Batchelor Road, Nashville, NC. 27856. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
