Wallace "Wally" Calvin Darling

Elkhart, IN- Wallace C. Darling, USMC Master Sgt (Ret) passed peacefully in his sleep Oct. 17, 2021 in South Bend, IN.
He was born 1 June, 1940 in Newbury, VT.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Patricia and a sister, Ann.
He is survived by sister Joan DeLaittre of Bar Harbor, ME; his three children, W. Michael Darling (Rebecca)
of Colorado; Hope Andersen (John) of Sanford, NC; Gerald Darling (Cindy) of Elkhart, IN and their families
including 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Wally went on to retire from USPS after 21 years in the Military. He was former Commandant of Rocky
Mount Marine League #1262 and a member of Avalon Baptist Church before relocating to Elkhart, IN.
His remains will be interred at Rocky Mount Memorial Park in Rocky Mount, NC on his birthday 6/1/2022
at 2 pm.
