Mr. Tony Gray Bass

Tony Gray Bass, 89 passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025. He was born July 4, 1936 in Nash County to the late Oliver and Mattie Strickland Bass. Tony loved his family, fishing, and church. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ray Jones, son, Ricky Bass, and a grandchild, Hope LeahAnne Bass.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Shelby Bass; sons, Mike Bass, Ronnie Bass (Teressa), T.C. Bass (Betheny), Russell VanOrder, Richard VanOrder, and Jeff VanOrder; brothers, Jesse Bass (Margaret) and Eric Bass (Debbie); sister, Lynn Bass; grandchildren, Bobby Bass (Wendy), Colleen Alford (Bradley), Leslie Bryant (Charles), Elijah Bass (Cassidy), Taylor Bass, Camden Bass, Graham Bass, Seth VanOrder (Nicole), Courtney VanOrder, Caitlyn VanOrder, Tyler Quinn, Nicholas VanOrder, Brittany VanOrder, Crystal Henley; also loved by numerous generations of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Full Gospel Praise and Worship with funeral service to be held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Randy Stallings officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
