Thomas B. Sharpe, 85 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday; Oct. 7, 2005. he was born Aug 17, 1920, in Wilson County, son of the late John William and Cora Batts Sharpe. He was a loving and devoted Christian husband and father. Thomas was an active member of the South Rocky Mount Church of God for 55 years and also would be remembered for his talented drum playing. He was preceded in death by one sister Nannie Leigh Webb and three brothers Harvey, Jack, and Thad Sharpe. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Louise Keel Sharpe; one son, Larry and wife Gail: one grand daughter Michelle Sharpe; two stepgrandsons, Taylor and Jon Worthington; one sister Polly Todd of Bradenton, Fla; and several nieces and nephews.
He loved his family and friends very much and was able to help many people throughout his life. Though his light will be greatly missed, now his love and life example will surely serve to illuminate our future pathways.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Bowling Funeral Home with funeral services following at 3 pm in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Dr. David Whitley officiating. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
