ROCKY MOUNT – Sidney Earl Leonard, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Born in Nash County, NC on June 17, 1928, he was the son of the late Johnnie Leonard and Carrie Wood Leonard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margie Proctor Leonard; and brothers, George Leonard and Johnnie Leonard.
Sidney leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Tony Leonard. He is also survived by, sister, Sally West; and brother, Shelton Leonard.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum with Rev. Daniel Pead officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
