Roland Glenn Coggin

Roland Glenn Coggin, 86, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was born in Halifax County February 1, 1934 to the late Swep Harrison and Florine Pace Coggin. Roland was a U.S Navy, National Guard Veteran and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a salesman for Carolina Steel and a member of Sharpsburg Church of God. In addition to his parents, Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Dohring Coggin; brothers William A. “Bill” Coggin, Jimmy G. Coggin, Oscar Coggin, Charles T. Coggin and a sister in law, Vanette Coggin.
He is survived by sons Jimmy Bradley Coggin (Debra), Gregory Owen Coggin (Kathy), Gerald Glenn Coggin (Lisa), Dale Maurice Coggin (Wendy), sister Lois D. Thompson; sisters in law, Patricia Coggin, and Delores “Loli” Coggin; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating.
