Robert Edgar Gardner

Robert Edgar Gardner, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 13, 2018. He was born in Wilson County to the late Ennis Lee and Ada Mercer Gardner. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Tyndall Gardner; sister Joan Griffin and a grandson David Glenn Gardner.

Robert is survived by his son Robert Glenn Gardner(Michelle); daughters, Sandra Gardner Manning(Mike) and Patricia Gardner Proctor(William); grandchildren, Travis and Nick Williams, Michelle Bell, Starr Strickland, Katie Manning, Jacob Proctor, Penny Roy, Dana Kalafut, Holden Gardner, Bryson and Donnie Bowden and Britteny Clark; seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Harry Gardner(Elaine) and Gene Gardner(Ann) ; sister Faye Logg and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff of Community Home Care & Hospice for the care they provided.

A visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The service will follow the visitation at 2:00pm in the chapel with Rev. Kenny Byrd officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will meet other times at the home of Mike and Sandra Manning at 505 Golfers Lane Nashville, NC.
