Obituary for Reverend Richard Earl Leak
Reverend Richard Earl Leak, was born on February 19, 1948 to the late Eugene Leak and Annie Underhill in Edgecombe County ,North Carolina. He departed this life at 11:05pm on June 26, 2017 in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

He enjoyed serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as a minister of the gospel in the pulpit as well as outreach ministries. His joy was singing with his brothers in the gospel quartet “the New Believers”, where he often led his favorite songs such as, “ Thank You Jesus For My Journey”, “ Happy In The Service Of The Lord”, and “Sending Up My Timber Timber To Name A Few”.

Rev. Richard Leak’s Life was evidence of God’s forgiveness, love, grace, and mercy. To God be the Glory!

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children; Matha Maris Leak, Elizabeth Leak-Flythe (Adrian), Ricky Earl Leak, Hillary Harper, Minister Antoine Lyons (Latirce), and Vicky Lyons; sibling, Minister Isiahrene Johnson (Roscoe), Margie farmer, Faye Leak, Pastor Thomas Leak (Carly), Reverend Edward Leak (Pamela), and Minister Mercy Leak; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, an uncle, other relatives and friends.
