Raymond Lee Peace

Raymond Lee Peace (Mista), 74, of Nashville, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, April 22nd, 2016. Raymond was born in Edgecombe County on January 11, 1942 and was the son of the late Robert and Dolly Peace.
Raymond was retired from Edwards Crane with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed working around the house and being outside. Watching his great-grandchildren play ball always brought him great joy. Overall, Raymond was a loving husband, Daddy, Pa and PaPa.
Raymond was preceded in death by his brothers Henry Leake, Robert Ray, George Melvin and his sisters Mary Louise, Norma Juanita and Elizabeth Dean.
Raymond leaves behind to be cherished by his loving and devoted wife Frances Peace (Baby Duck). His sisters Frances Mae and Shirley Jean and his brothers Thomas Earl, John Allen, Douglas Keith and William (Shorty) Oliver. His children Leigh Ann (Johnny) Tripp of Elm City, Missy (Chris) Toler of Elm City, Terry (Donnie) Jones of Nashville, Jinny Kaye Johnson of Rocky Mount, Wayne (Crystal) Johnson of Nashville, Jerry Johnson of Rocky Mount, and Frankie (Beth) Proctor of Rocky Mount. Grandchildren Shannon Rouse(Michael), Ashley (Jonathan) Matthews, Megan Toler, Shane Tripp, Wayne Jones, Amanda Gonzales, Jeffery Johnson, Heather Davis, Amy Irwin and John Proctor. Great-Grandchildren Jon, Nathan, Aydan, Gabriel, Ariana, Isaiah, Alaina, Summer, Bryson, Sarah, Ivy, Paige, Ryan, Trey, Dylan and Taylor Stevey along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Raymond Peace will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home on Sunday, April 24th, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at his home. The funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home on Monday, April 25th, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
