Nancy Cheryl Harris

Petersburg, VA – Nancy Cheryl Harris, 76, passed away on May 30, 2024 and is awaiting the return of her Lord and Savior. She was born in West Virginia to the late Roy D. and Sarah Collins Taylor. Nancy served the Lord and radiated the love of God through sharing the Word. All children loved her and were drawn to her kindness. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Valentine, son Estil “Butch” Martin and siblings Roy Taylor, Fred Taylor, Juanita Sparkman, and Kathleen Jessie.

Nancy is survived by her husband and best friend of 35 years, Richard D. Harris, her children Harold Martin (Lesley) and Kimberly Bullock (Neal) as well as grandchildren Kristen Harris (Jason), Kelsy Smith (Gary), Joshua Martin (Jessica), Jessie Farmer (Ellen), Zachary Martin (Loralai), and Dawson Martin (Ansley). Nancy had 12 beloved great grandchildren and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two siblings Estil Taylor (Dianne) and John Taylor (Chris).

A graveside service will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park in North Carolina on Tuesday June 4, 2024, at 10:00am.
