Myrtle Irene Baker Tant

Myrtle Irene Baker Tant, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born April 28, 1931 in Nash County to the late Jessie and Mamie Parker Baker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lemuel Tant.

She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter Kay Tant Rhew (Allan); sister Eula Southall; grandchildren Bryan and Cliff (Candy) Rhew; great-grandchildren Madelyn and Ethan Rhew, and Allison Tuck.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, February 21, 2022 from 1:00-1:45pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. David Whitley officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
