Mildred Geneva Dyson Floyd

Mildred Geneva Dyson Floyd, 97, passed away September 15, 2021. She was born July 10, 1924 in Columbus County to the late Crowell Dyson Sr. and Lou Williams. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mildred Geneva Floyd at the age of 97. She was a loving wife and wonderful mother to her sons and many more that considered her their adopted mother. She was preceded in death by Dorothy, Leroy, and Charles Dyson, Viola Sarvis, Crowell Dyson Jr., and Johnny Dyson.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by her husband George W. Floyd; sons, Gordon H. Floyd, Clyde D. Floyd, George W. Floyd, and David; grandchildren, Joshua G. Floyd and Francis; great-grandchildren, Anna Kate Floyd and Matthew Floyd; brother, Dale Dyson of Chadbourn; sister by heart, Gay Edwards; and her beloved cats, BeBe, Smokie, Sabrina, Buddy, Max

Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel with Rev. Tim Andrews officiating.
