Michael E Ferrell

Michael Edward Ferrell, 79, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was born July 3, 1943 in Washington DC to the late Foster and Dorothy Felton Ferrell. He loved his family, crossword puzzles, reading, and was a history buff. Mike served in the US Army in the 82nd airborne. He retired from the telephone company after 30 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Christy Ferrell.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 56 years Sandra Ferrell; daughter Wendy Gilbert (Randy); grandchildren Kristen Edmondson and Colby Gilbert (Brianna); great-grandchildren Cameron and Lillian Edmondson.

Visitation will be Monday, January 2, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at 2:00pm at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Gary Walston officiating.
