Rocky Mount – Mary Vick Keel, age 90, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. Born in Nash County, NC on December 31, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Vick and Lula Mae Joyner Vick. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey Anthony Williams and her second husband, Marvin Earl Keel.
A woman of great faith who loved her Lord and Savior, Mary was a long-time member of North Rocky Mount Church of God. Never one to meet a stranger, she would always greet everyone she met with a smile that would light up the room. Mary retired from Abbott Laboratories after many years of dedicated service. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and following her retirement she loved to travel. A loving and devoted aunt and cherished friend to many, Mary will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Mary is survived by her niece, Susan Fussell and husband Dean of Rocky Mount, and several extended family members and dearest friends.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will be available to receive friends and relatives immediately following the graveside service.
