Mary Lucille Rooks Hyde

Mary Lucille Hyde, 86, passed away Saturday December 17, 2016. She was born in Nash County on January 25, 1930 to the late Jesse M. and Mary W. Rooks. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Hubert H. Hyde, Jr.; sisters, Lula Rose and Janet Hamilton; brothers, Ben, Jesse Jr. , and Jimmy Rooks.

Lucille is survived by her husband of 69 years, Hubert H. Hyde; son, Charlie R. Hyde(Martha) of Red Oak; daughter-in-law, Sybil Hyde of Waycross, GA; grandchildren, Christopher R. Hyde(Brandy) of Florence, SC, Tracy H. Futrell(William) of Clifton, NJ, Melissa Batten of Waycross, GA and eight great grandchildren. Special thanks to her caregiver, Jessie Godwin and the staff of Hospice of Nash General.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park at 2pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
