Mary Joyce Williams Vick

ROCKY MOUNT – Mary Joyce Williams Vick, age 86, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Born in Nash County, NC on March 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Frank Leslie Williams and Myrtie Mamie Williford Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William Calhoun Vick and her two sisters, Frances Williams Daughtridge and Sandra Rose Williams.

Joyce worked many years at Planters Bank, Centura Bank, and retiring with RBC Bank. She also helped her son, Brian, with startup of his restaurant. Joyce was soon blessed with her first grandchild, whom she spent having fun together for many years.

Joyce is survived by her two sons, Brian Vick and his beautiful daughter, Palin, of Rocky Mount and William F. “Bill” Vick, and wife, Lee, of Texas; and her niece and nephew, Lynne Page and Maurice Daughtridge.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
