Mary Alice Tharrington, age 77, died Friday, October 17, 2003. She was born May 23, 1926, in Vance Co. and was the daughter of the late W.G. and Emma Currin. Mrs. Tharrington was preceded in death by her husband Joe Tharrington. She is survived by her daughter Linda Faucette of Henderson and her son Tommy Tharrington of Rocky Mount. Grandchildren, Jennifer Crisp, of Rocky Mount, Anthony and Jeff Grissom of Henderson, one great-grand-child. A gathering to celebrate her life will be 11 a.m. in Rocky Mount Memorial Park, with the Rev. Randy Perry officiating. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Johnson Funerals and Cremations and at other times at the home.
