Lois Jean Strickland Davis

Lois Jean Strickland Davis, age 90, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Her journey began in Wilson County on April 5, 1933, oldest daughter of William H. and Lois B. Strickland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Willie “Clyde” Davis, Jr.

She leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories for her son, Randy Davis and wife, Susan of Nashville; sister, Laura O’Neal and husband, Louis of Glen Allen, Virginia; grandchildren, Ryan Davis and wife, Alyssa, Kaitlyn Garner and husband, Isaac, Seth Davis, Anna Davis and Joseph Davis; great-grandson, Luca Davis and several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her Grace Reformed Baptist Church family.

Jean was a founding member of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Strong and unwavering in her faith, she was a member for over thirty-three years. She had a true servant’s heart that was exemplified by her work at Falls Road Christian School and Positive Action for Christ. She loved her Lord, family, church family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:00am at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4544 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
