Lizzie "Gray" Robinson Freeman

ROCKY MOUNT – Lizzie “Gray” Robinson Freeman, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on January 18, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John Augustus Robinson and Gladys Keel Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Clemmon Freeman; her son, Gordon Freeman; her brother, W. A. “Billy” Robinson; and her sisters, Patricia Robinson Lancaster, Mary Evelyn Brantley, and Gladys Robinson Lucas.

Gray is survived by her daughter, Terry Ann Freeman; her daughter-in-law, Trudy Freeman; her granddaughter, Stephanie Mikeal and husband Derek; her great-grandchildren, Emery Roger Bowling, III and Evan Howard Bowling; her sisters, Lydia Pearl Robinson Whitehurst and Gussie Robinson Gibson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Gray’s life will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
