Linda Joyner

Linda Joyner, age 72, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on December 7, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Taylor and Edna Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Nick Snow and Daniel Robert Atlas Joyner; and her brother, Leslie Taylor.
Linda enjoyed watching old westerns and Reba. She loved preparing family meals which would bring laughter and happiness to the family table was always a cherished moment. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, but her loving spirit will never be forgotten as she was everything to her family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Atlas Joyner; her daughters, Kimberly Joyner, of Nashville, and Cornelia Snow and her husband, Joseph, of Spring Hope; her sons, Kevin Joyner, of Elm City, and Michael Joyner, of Edgecombe county; her grandchildren, Josh Snow, Taylor Snow, Kenzie Snow, Jala Parks, Dawn Parks, Destiney Parks, Christopher Parks, and Rockeem Parks; her two great-grandchildren; her sisters, Glenda Marlow, of Pine Tops, Ann Marlow and husband, Jimmy, of Rocky Mount, Marsha Jones, of Rocky Mount, and Ellen Davis and husband, Ricky, of Pine Tops; her brothers, Lenwood Taylor and wife, Cornelia, of Elm City, and Russel Taylor and wife, Lisa, of Pine Tops; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Lenwood Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home.
