Lessie Mae Proctor

Lessie Mae Proctor, 85, died Wednesday, September 8, 1999. She was born in Edgecombe County, January 9, 1914, daughter of the late William B. and Etta Mae Joyner Proctor. Mrs. Proctor was preceded by her husband Leslie Lee Proctor. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
Surviving: daughters, Ann and Eddie Rackley of Rocky Mount, Deborah and clint Henry of Dortches; sons, William “Billy” and Carol Proctor of Tarboro, Alan and Bettie Proctor of Noank, Conn.; brother, Richard E. Proctor of Rocky Mount; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 1999 at Johnson Funeral Home, Fairway Road, with the Revs. Roy Porter and Chet Rains officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
