Leslie C. Mullins ObituaryROCKY MOUNT – Leslie C. Mullins, age 91, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Born in Sweet Springs, MO on March 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Chester Banner Mullins and Irene Jane Gray Mullins. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Leslie Bruce Mullins and David Alan Mullins; his sister, Ruth Ann Mullins Snorgrass; his brother, Dennis Ray Mullins, Sr., and his nephew, Danny Mullins.

Leslie was a 20 year veteran of the United States Army, having served overseas in both Korea and Vietnam wars, until his retirement as a CW2. A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend to many, Leslie will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Leslie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie Emerson Mullins; his sons, Roger Lee Mullins and Robert “Lewis” Mullins; his daughters, Linda Jackson (Dennis), Dawn Hardy and Katherine Mitchell (Mike ); his grandchildren, Christopher Mullins, Priscilla Daniels (Cameron), Tyler Pittman, Conner Mitchell (Patrick), and Sydney Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Alexis Woolwine, Austin Daniels, and Jackson “Tiger” Daniels; his brothers, Johnnie L. Mullins (Darlene) and Wesley M. “Boots” Mullins (Shirley); nephews, Kevin Mullins, Renee “Turkey” Breshears, and Duane Mullins; special cousin, Wilma Jean McFail; and many other extended family members.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Leslie’s life will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with Rev. Richard Collins officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
