Leon Vester Mosley, 61, Rocky Mount businessman and leader in the motel industry, died in Duke Hospital Sunday. He was owner and operator of Mosley’s Motel here, one of the first motels established in the Rocky Mount area, and was president of Mosley’s Enterprises. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Charles Morgan and Dr. Gaylord Lehman officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Friends may call at the home on Mosley Drive or at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Barnes Mosley; two sons, Leon Colon Mosley and C Harlon Mosley, both of Rocky Mount; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Dean Jackson of Rocky Mount: five grandchildren; one brother, Fred Mosley of Rocky Mount; seven sisters, Mrs. Mattie Denton, Mrs. M. C. Edwards, Mrs. Linda Belle Bone, Mrs. Bertha Coley and Mrs. Birdie Smithson, all of Rocky Mount, Mrs. William Lancaster of Nashville and Mrs. Maggie Barnes of Wilmington.
