Obituary for Leon Marion Eason
Leon Marion Eason, 79, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016. He was born March 18, 1937 in Johnston County. Leon was a loving, family oriented man who was dearly loved by his family. He was also a Shriner and Mason. Leon worked for Sears for over 25 years and had many other jobs as well. He was definitely a hard working man who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, son, Gregg Holmes, granddaughter, Destiny Raynor and eight brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 15 years, Nell Eason; three sons, Preston Holmes, Dennis Davis (Carrie) and John Davis; five daughters, Cheryl Treacy (Greg), Catherine Beasley (Frank), Connie Leversee, Nancy Holmes and Debra Bailey; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 9:30-11:00 am at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park in Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Tammy and Jimmy Colbert.
