ROCKY MOUNT – Lee Edwin Oliver, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Born in Rockland, ME on September 30, 1935, he was the son of the late Clifford William Addison Oliver and Sarah Isabelle Doyle Oliver, and son, David Allen Oliver.
Lee leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 63 years, Joyce Oliver; son, Timothy Oliver; and daughter, Suzanne Ellington and husband, Nelvin. He is also survived by grandchildren, Danielle Oliver Obey and husband, Jason, Ryan Oliver, Tegan Silanskas, Tristan M. Cole, Mikala Lee Cole, and Daysha and McKenzie Oliver; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Raya Obey; sister, Lois Hussey; and three nieces. He was like family to many people, as he touched lives worldwide.
A Celebration of Lee’s Life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum with Pastor Charles Taylor officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the celebration at the chapel.
