Kathy Gurganus Reams, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 26, 2019. She was born in Nash County to the late Eulis Ward Gurganus and Dorothy May Hughes Gurganus.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Don Reams; son, Michael Lee Anthony Reams (Ashley); daughter, Tamyra Katherine Porter (Chad); her six grandchildren, Sienna, Tilden, and Leighton Reams and Preston, Alexis and Loralee Porter; brother, E.W. Gurganus Jr. (Barbara); sisters, Jean Farmer (Sam), Debbie Williams (Dennis) and Wanda Reams (John).

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. The visitation will be held at 10:00 am prior to the service. Graveside service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church or Englewood Baptist Church with the funds being designated to the Childrens’ Ministries or the Vacation Bible School programs, as she loved working with children at both churches.
