June E Shaw

June E. Shaw, age 78, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on September 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ottis “Oddie” Tyson and Lula Cooper Tyson. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Teri Edwards House; her son, Donald Edwards; her son-in-law, Tony House; and 9 of her siblings.

June is survived by her sons, Wayne Edwards and wife, Bunnie, of Rocky Mount, Scott Edwards and wife, Nicki, and Steven Shaw, both of SC; her grandchildren, Chris Edwards, Kenny Edwards and wife, Amy, Tiffany Edwards Skipper and husband, Marvin, Anthony House and wife, Little Bitt; her great- grandchildren, Christopher Edwards, Jordan Edwards, Keegan Edwards and Faith Edwards; her sister, Linda Tyson Moss of Sandy Cross; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Chaplin Rickey Forkum officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM prior to the service in the Chapel Johnson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in June’s memory to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
