Obituary for Judy Faye Batts Manning
Judy Faye Batts Manning, 72, was born July 18, 1947 in Wilson County, died July 6, 2020 in Nash County. She went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long battle with COPD. She worked as a home maker during her children’s early years and worked in retail once her children were older. She and her husband owned and operated Cypress Lake Golf Course for over twenty years. Her hobbies included her love of gardening and her koi pond. She was very loving and a caregiver to many. Her home was always open and full of love.

Judy was the devoted and loving wife of Arthur Ray Manning of 54 years; a beloved mother of Angela Wood (Charles Edward) and Annette Wood (Scottie Gene). She was preceded in death by father Leon Edwin “L.E.” Batts, mother Ophelia Glover Batts; brother Ronald Edwin Batts and wife Betty Diane; sister Debra Star Roderick and husband Gerald “Butch”.

She leaves behind her beloved brothers and sisters by marriage Phillip Manning and Julia, Johnny Manning and Kay, Linwood Manning and Curley, and Stanley Wayne Manning; many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 1:00-1:45PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home with service to follow at 2:00PM in the Chapel. Burial will be private.
