Johnny N. Manning

Jonny Nelious Manning, 62, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003. Born July 27, 1941, in Nash County. Son of the late Cornelious Manning and Ophelia Manning Fuller.
Mr. Manning was a veteran with the U.S. Army and retired from Siecor in 1999.
Surviving, wife, Dorothy S. Manning; sons, Johnny C. and wife, Lisa and Andy and wife, Wendy, all from Rocky Mount. Daughter, Kim and husband, Robin Pridgen from Tarboro. Eight grandchildren, brothers, Earl Manning from Rocky Mount and Willis Manning from Tarboro. Sisters, Florine Davis of Elm City, Lucille Miles of Roanoke Rapids, Gertrude Glover of Rocky Mount, Jean Pipkin of Bunn and another sister of Zebulon [illegible].
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Manning and sister, Etta Morgan.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 1912 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2003, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
