John "Randy" Coats

John Randy Coats, 20, died last night of injuries received in an automobile accident. He was a native of Nash County and resided at Box 487 Raleigh Road Extension. He was a mechanic with the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church
He is survived by his parents, John Crosson Coats Jr. and Shirly Smith Coats, two brothers, Martin Lyn and Robert Anthony Coats, both of the home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Effie H. Smith of Rocky Mount; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mandy Coats of Rocky Mount.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Friday April 30, 1976 at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. George Sims and the Rev. Jim Vickery.
