Obituary

ROCKY MOUNT – Joan Deans Moore, age 72, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019. Born in Franklin County, NC on September 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Hassell Deans Claudia Langley Deans; husbands, Johnnie “Randy” Moore and Leon “Buddy” Bradshaw; brothers, Larry “Sam” Champion, Danny G. Deans, Cleese Adams and Avis Winstead.
Joan leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Jenny Lewis and husband, James; and son, Johnnie Moore. She is also survived by grandson, Travis Lewis and wife, Tabatha; granddaughters, Lauren, Ashleigh and Lindsay Moore; special sister-in-law, Sue Champion; sisters, Lisa Deans and Jean Medlin and husband, Bob; sisters-in-law, Betty Winstead and Judy Adams; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum. A visitation with the family will follow the service and other times at the home.
