Jewel Bone Winstead

Jewel Bone Winstead, 67, completed her earthly journey at Nash General Hospital on Saturday, December 6, 2003, when she went home to be with her Lord.
She was born August 29, 1936, the daughter of the late William M. (Mark) and Lynda Bell Mosley Bone.
She was a person of many talents including pencil drawing, painting, sewing and poetry writing, but was best known for cooking fabulous desserts. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved to go to church and loved gospel singings.
She is survived by her husband, James David Winstead, one daughter, Debra Ann Medlin and husband Ronnie of Rocky Mount; three sons, Christopher Andrew Winstead and wife Teresa of Tarboro, David Allison Winstead and wife Sue of Louisburg, Larry Ross Winstead of Louisburg; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Jean Bone Pridgen of Rocky Mount, three brothers, Raybon Bone of Roanoke Rapids, Bobby Bone of Rocky Mount The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2003 Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mary Todd of Morton Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Delton Deese of North Rocky Mount Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
